Implementation Science Research
Evidence-based practices, interventions, and policies implemented in real world settings often have differing outcomes as compared to their original research findings. Contextual factors play a large role in whether and how these interventions or practices are implemented. Implementation Science (ImS) focuses on studying methods to promote the adoption and integration of evidence-based practices and interventions in real world settings.
ImS often involves identifying the barriers and facilitators to successful uptake through mixed methods approaches. Continuous evaluation and analysis of formative and process data allows for nimble adjustments to increase effectiveness more rapidly.
